Soswaewon is a traditional garden in South Korea. Over the years I've been inspired by the form of the central pond in East Asian gardens, a space of contemplation reflecting back the view. In this version of my Portable Ponds (some of which I make at room-size), I transformed the rough brick to make it highly reflective using my hand-labor.
